Welcome to the official website of the STAGES role-playing game!

A lot of work has been going on behind the scenes, here at Stages HQ (would that be backstage?). I’m sorry about the lack of recent updates, but there’s going to be a lot happening over the next few weeks.

First up: The STAGES Fantasy Quickplay rules are ready. You can go to the DOWNLOADS page to get your free copy… it’s available right now! The QuickPlay rules give you just what you need to get started in a particular genre, and are a good introduction to the rules. Hand out a copy to each of the players!

Feel free to poke around the site. There will be a number of resources dedicated to both the STAGES rpg in particular and gaming in general. The Paper Figure Generator is already up and running, as is the forum. Another page you might be interested in is my development blog.

The first STAGES Tactical Map Book has been posted, free for download! It will work with STAGES or nearly any fantasy RPG. You can download it here!

Lastly, The Abduction of Princess Jasia [pdf] is available for download, again for free.  It is a selection of six combat scenarios (maps and counters included) that can serve as an introduction to the game.
